wow, what a great job Mary Alice has done - and in such short time! We just talked about a family blog at Liz's last night, and now we have one. Hope everyone will participate.
I'll start the ball rolling by telling you that I'll be driving up to Arlington on Sat. for the fly-in. Marilyn, Andrea & a new mbr named Theresa & I will be working in the 99s both for a few hrs. mid-day. Our mbr Marty is one of the fly-in organizers & promised to come to the gate & pick me up in a golf cart to make it easy on me - isn't that nice?
What a great Independence Day Liz & Steve hosted - as always - and great chefs Tony & James & Joe made some great food. A plentiful supply of fireworks from the Muckleshoot capped on the evening - and at least 2 other groups on the street added to the show.
Laura and Gretchen spent the bulk of the afternoon and evening on la trampoline, bouncing, bouncing, bouncing while their cousins bounced alongside. Between that, their hours spent on the inflatables at the Auburn July 4th celebration, and the general excitement of *fireworks*, they were exhausted when we got home after midnight. However, Gretchen was not too tired to clutch her glow necklace and bumblebee glow stick (courtesy of Grandma) tightly as she fell asleep, nor would she release it from her strong little fist even when I tried to pry it away an hour later. Now that's devotion!
ReplyDeleteLiz & Steve hosted a fabulous patriotic soiree as always, and cousin Joe bought Laura her very own pink pack of girl fireworks--what could be better???
